Veteran Input Needed at Ground Breaking for the Indoor Pool

I am writing to invite fellow veterans to attend the ground breaking for the indoor pool at Spellerberg Park, located next door to the Sioux Falls VA Regional Medical Center.  The new indoor aquatic facility will include a therapy pool that will be available for veterans and residents of Sioux Falls.  Mayor Huether, Parks Director Don Kearney and other city officials will attend the ceremony and they are interested in hearing from veterans about how the new aquatics facility can serve area veterans.

The ground breaking will be held at 2pm on Monday, August 11 at Spellerberg Park located at 1601 S Western Ave.   I hope you will consider attending the event.  Please pass this information to any veterans who you think might be interested in attending.

Thank you,
Tom

P.S.
Here is a recent story that appeared in the Argus Leader regarding the pool:

Veterans for the VA Support the Indoor Therapy Pool at Spellerberg Park

While there have been many points of view on the location of the facility, most residents agree the indoor aquatics center will be a welcome addition to the outstanding park system in Sioux Falls.

The Veterans for the VA group is grateful the city’s plans have taken into consideration how the new facility will impact veterans.  The proposed therapy pool within the indoor aquatics center has tremendous potential for residents and veterans alike.

Veterans for the VA supports the indoor therapy pool at Spellerberg Park and we urge residents to support the new facility.
